The LA Lakers lost last night by 4 points. That is great news! I hope they lose again, so the series is tied. Then it will be much more exciting.

Basketball

Lakers did a great job winning the first game of the series but will they beat Orlando on their home court? It will be a very close game.

Tennis

Roger Federer has made it to the finals in the French Open. He will be facing Robin Soderling from Sweden. It's going to be a great match. Federer is trying to tie his grand slam titles with Pete Sampras. Let's see who wins.

French Open

If you like tennis you would like watching the French Open. The games our in progress as we speak. It's one of the big tennis tournaments in the world. It is played on a clay court in France. Nadal, the Spaniard, was the defending champ the past four years. Unfortunately, he lost to a Swede. Roddick the American player is out for the Men's side...So no chance there for the American dudes. But, Serena Williams might take it for the women. Any predictions for those who are watching?

Where am I ???

Just sitting here trying to do my work....there is a social atmoshere in the air...people are coming and going...different walks of life...the music is playing with a soft tune....the beat of the barista, hammering the expresso grind into the filter....It's an ensemble.. an orchestra playing everybody is doing their part.. participating in a job...some are being invisible...staring at you...gazing into to the outside world through a tall narrow window... Am I at LAX or in a cafe?

Lakers vs Cavaliers?

Lakers won the western conference championship against the Denver Nuggets. It was a great series to watch. Now, I'm rooting for the Cleveland Cavaliers to beat Orlando Magic. I'f Lebron James does not pull off two more wins, then the NBA finals will be less than an exciting game to watch. Because frankly who cares about Orlando. I want to see LeBron and Kobe go at it head to head. I am anticipating Clevand to win and face the Lakers next Thursday in Clevand. Am I the only one who feels this way? ...I talking to the basketball fans who are following the game.

Downtown Hype

Downtown LA seems to have all the hype lately. I noticed there are new buildings and more in construction. I also hear new restaurants and hotels are opening up. The LA Marathon is being held this Monday. If you like crowds then I guess this is the place to be. I think I will need to explore it more to get a good feel of what is going on down there.

European Football

If you like soccer the most exciting game to watch is the match between FC Barcelona and Manchester United, in the Champions League finals, next Wednesday. The Champions League is Europe's premier football club tournament held every year with 32 European teams competing with one another. Last year's champions were Manchester United. To me this tournament is more competitive than the World Cup which is held every four years. Although Manchester has great players I favor Barcelona to win. Messi is the player to watch. He is from Argentina and is one of the best players in the game today.

My Brazilian Getaway
My trip to Brazil was an amazing experience. I went 2 years ago and I still think about all the good times I had with my friends. My friend, a native Brazilian, who i met in Europe 10 years ago invited me to his wedding. Once I got to the airport it was like a national welcome. All of my friend's family and close friends were there. We had an enterage of people where ever we went. Rio de Janero is an international city of the world. I stayed in this town near Ipanema called Lablon, I probably mispelled this, as well as enterage. The beaches and the people were so nice to me and I made lots and lots of friends. If you have traveled here I really like to hear your experience.
